Over the last week, several memos issued by Councilmember Agran have been added to the the Meetings & Memos page.

In response to residents’ continuing concerns about street racing and modified exhaust enforcement, Councilmembers Agran and Kuo agendized a presentation by the Irvine Police Department on the topic.

At last night’s City Council Meeting, the City Council discussed the future of the Veterans Memorial Park and Cemetery at the Great Park. Dozens of people shared their opinions late into the night. In the end, the Council took no action despite a detailed resolution presented by Councilmember Agran.

At today’s City Council Meeting, Councilmember Agran will recognize Friends of Outreach and Rainbow Rising with $2000 each in Community Partnership Grants.

Though today marks the first day of summer, summer fun has been alive in Irvine for weeks!

“Together with Councilmember Anthony Kuo, I have agendized a presentation by the IPD to update the City Council and the community on their efforts to respond to the dangers associated with these activities,” explains the Councilmember.

After six months back in office, Councilmember Agran sat down with Irvine resident and blogger Emily Ball to reflect on his decades of service.

Last week, Irvine’s Green Ribbon Environmental Committee passed an ambitious resolution positioning Irvine to deliver on its commitments as a signatory to the United Nations Paris Agreement on Climate Change.
