Flying Leatherneck Aviation Museum Breaks Ground
It was a privilege to take part in the groundbreaking of the Flying Leatherneck Aviation Museum at Hangar 297 in the Great Park, in partnership with the City of Irvine. I am grateful to have supported the idea of bringing this museum to our City, and it is truly exciting to see this important project finally taking shape.
Congratulations and many thanks to BGen Michael Aguilar, USMC (Ret.), and the Flying Leatherneck Historical Foundation for their dedication to preserving the legacy of Marine Corps Aviation.
This marks the beginning of a world-class museum set to open in spring 2027, honoring those who have served and celebrating an important part of our history.
