Have ideas about how active transportation can be improved in Irvine? A plan for the Irvine Business Complex (IBC) Trail System is being reviewed by various City Commissions and the public is being invited to offer their views and opinions.

After a closure to allow for improvements last summer — including new playground equipment, signage, shade structures, and walkways — the park officially reopened May 20, 2021.

The City of Irvine is offering COVID-19 vaccinations at convenient neighborhood locations on weekends and evenings to provide more opportunities for the public (aged 12+) to get vaccinated.

Last night, the City Council gave approval to most of the City’s Biennial Budget. The details are included in a 175-page document, available to the public on the City’s website.

“This park is 1,300 acres, bigger than Balboa Park in San Diego and twice as big as Central Park in New York. The park’s potential is as great as the park is vast. To realize that opportunity, however, it’s crucial that the City works hand-in-hand with residents, especially those of the nearby Great Park Neighborhoods.”
