A Major Milestone for the Great Park
Set to change the way residents, shop, eat, and hangout, breaking ground on The Canopy brings us one step closer to realizing our vision of a world-class metropolitan park. Featuring distinctive retail and dining experiences, The Canopy will be a dynamic destination serving the Great Park community and Orange County. I thank our partners at ALMQUIST for helping bring this project to life.
Recognizing Irvine’s Remarkable Volunteers
I was grateful to celebrate the wonderful volunteers who help make Irvine a compassionate community. From the Irvine Animal Care Center’s Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon to the 2025 Senior Services Volunteer Recognition at Lakeview Senior Center, I had the privilege of thanking those who give of their time and serve with utmost compassion. For over 40 years, the Animal Care Center has thrived thanks to dedicated volunteers, and our comprehensive Senior Services are made possible because of those who support our older adults. Thank you to all our volunteers — your dedication makes Irvine shine!

Celebrating Earth Day at Quail Hill Trailhead
I had a fantastic time at Quail Hill Trailhead, celebrating Earth Day with family activities and delicious food. A special thank you to the Irvine Ranch Conservancy and the Irvine Company for partnering with the City of Irvine on this wonderful event.
Since 1971, Irvine has successfully balanced growth with conservation, preserving parks and trails for future generations. The Irvine Open Space Preserve connects iconic landmarks like the Cleveland National Forest and the Laguna Coast Wilderness Park, offering opportunities to explore and enjoy nature.
