I had the honor of meeting Dr. Tara Lynn Gray, Director of CalOSBA, at the Greater Irvine Chamber’s Business Advocacy Series breakfast. She highlighted the critical role small businesses play. California leads the nation in key small business metrics, contributing significantly to exports, job creation, and innovation. Small businesses are the backbone of the economy and the heart of our communities. Let’s work together to ensure Irvine remains a place where small businesses can grow, innovate, and succeed.

Reflecting on an incredible evening at Taste of Irvine, I want to thank everyone who joined us at the “PARK” at Lakeshore. Nearly 20 top local restaurants shared their signature bites! The event brought neighbors and entrepreneurs together to celebrate Irvine’s vibrant spirit. Every time you shop and dine in Irvine, you help preserve the outstanding quality of life we all enjoy.

I had the distinct honor of meeting with Consul General Youngwan Kim of the Republic of Korea in Los Angeles. During our discussion at City Hall, we explored initiatives to further support and strengthen the Korean community in Irvine. I look forward to fostering a fruitful partnership that promotes its continued growth and well-being.

My office was pleased to welcome the CAST-LA 2025 Youth Research Science Expo & AI Summit at UCI — an electrifying day where the brightest young minds showcased groundbreaking STEM and AI innovations. These young innovators are the future, and their ideas are shaping the world of tomorrow. We’re remarkably proud to support and celebrate the next generation of changemakers who are pushing boundaries and redefining what's possible!

Drop by City Hall on Saturday, September 13, from 9 - 10 a.m. for an informal conversation with me. No agenda — just a chance to connect, share your thoughts, and be heard. Each event in this series has brought about thoughtful ideas, candid feedback, and new connections. Your voice helps shape the future of our City — and we look forward to hearing from you!
